ATCO Structures & Logistics is Hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist Near Spring, TX
SUMMARY OF POSITION: The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for performing all functions related to accounts payable, ensuring accurate account coding, timely vendor payment and proper financial statement reporting. This position will report to the Controller.

Who You Are: As the ideal candidate for this role, you are someone who can:
- Maintain and verify accuracy of accounts payable including obtaining and matching appropriate records with each invoice
- Ensure that all invoices are properly approved
- Prepare and review all check, EFT, and wire disbursements
- Manage the cash flow and AP aging to keep vendors paid in a timely manner
- Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve any discrepancies
- Research and verify invoice records with employees and vendors when discrepancies arise
- Ensure outstanding obligations are credited upon payment
- Identify discount opportunities and stop-payment orders as needed
- Assist with month end closing of financial statements
- Analyzes A/P aging and address aged balances
- Develop, implement, and maintain systems, procedures, and policies, including accounts payable functions to ensure adherence to company guidelines
- Assist with audits
EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPEREINCE:
- 2 to 4 or more years hands-on experience in Accounts Payable required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accountingor is desired; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Intermediate working knowledge of MS Excel
- Ability to interface positively with multiple internal and external customers to create effective working relationships
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
